The Onsite Foundation on Community Corner

This week in the Lightning 100 studio, Brother Love sat down with Deanna Wantz and Joanna Basile from The Onsite Foundation. The three talk about the many wellness initiatives that The Onsite Foundation and their team provide. In the 1970s, the founder was looking for a place to heal, but was turned away because she was not struggling with addiction. She created The Onsite Foundation to help the less fortunate with the many layers of trauma, in a safe space to do so. The same values continue to echo today, with countless individuals, couples, and families having been helped throughout the years.

During their conversation, Deanna and Joanna dive into what Onsite means and provides. The Onsite Foundation has multiple programs tailored for those struggling with trauma, grief, stress, and mental health. They have over 250 acres of property where those in a program can come and stay on-site to receive help. They talk about what being a non-profit means and how those enrolled are provided a program with little to no charge. Additionally, Deanna and Joanna talk about how passionate the staff of Onsite is about helping others. Joanna talks about being an alumnus of an Onsite program and her experience giving back to those who helped her. Deanna says, “We want you to have some real, tangible ways to integrate this new knowledge into your life.”

On April 17th, The Onsite Foundation is hosting the Creative Equine One-Day Workshop out on a ranch in Columbia, Tennessee. Deanna and Joanna talk about how healing horses are and what the workshop will include. This group-intensive workshop is designed to coax out the tools participants already have for building trust, regulating emotions, and much more. There is a registration fee for this workshop, and this fee includes lunch. Find tickets on The Onsite Foundation website, or by clicking the link here.
