Early in their career, they moved to London before releasing their first album. Their dynamic sound blends bluesy garage rock with southern rock and polished alternative influences. Led by Matt Schultz and his distinctive drawl, their music balances punk with deeply emotional, sometimes psychedelic melodies. “Beaches in Tennessee” is an indie track that contrasts heavy themes with a playful sound. Built around an overdriven guitar riff, the song looks back on Matt Schultz’s hospitalization in 2023. You can listen to the song below!

Casey’s DJ Pick is “Strawberry Moon” by Maddie Etritch. From Ontario, Canada, and raised in Virginia, she brings a unique blend to her work. She is a rising indie artist who mixes singer-songwriter sensibility with the excitable energy of pop rock. Electric guitar, compelling lyrics, and a unique rasp in her voice form her distinct sound. “Strawberry Moon” is a dreamy indie pop single defined by “bubble grunge.” The track features lush, floaty production and airy melodies. Despite the title, the song has a moody hook and an almost gloomy texture.
