Shannon LaBrie is Lightning 100’s local artist of the week! LaBrie is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from North Dakota who now calls Nashville her home. Her song “Raining Hallelujah” was included on her album Building, which was released in 2020. LaBrie released a powerful music video for “Raining Hallelujah” back on October 20th.
Both the song “Raining Hallelujah” and its accompanying music video are deeply moving. The musical richness of the song is fully matched by its emotional depth. Electric guitars, pounding drums, steel guitar, and gospel-inspired background vocals fill out the song’s arrangement. LaBrie delivers an emotionally raw vocal performance of the song’s expressive lyrics.
