World-famous Nashville-based singer-songwriter John Oats joined us in the Volume.com studio today to play the acoustic versions of a couple of his songs. Oates and DJ Casey also discussed the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic turned Oates’ life upside-down, spurring an unexpected burst of creativity. For instance, Oates rewrote “Pushin’ a Rock” during this time, breaking from his long-established tradition of never rewriting his own songs.
