Casey’s DJ pick of the week is “I Like It Like That” by Jonny Lucas!
The British turned Nashville local artist and producer released his new EP, I Like It Like That, just in time for summer. His upbeat pop-rock sound is sure to be the soundtrack of the season.
Featuring a punchy beat and electrifying guitar, it’s hard not to dance to this song. “I Like It Like That” is filled with energy and Lucas’s bright voice. The catchy chorus will live in your head after you listen to this fun new release. If you listen closely, you can hear his charming accent slip in a few lyrics!
This track was co-written with Dave Tough, another Nashville local. Tough co-produced and co-wrote Lucas’s new EP alongside Lucas and Justin Busch.
Lucas shared on Instagram, “The first half of 2024 has been a wild one, and I’m beyond proud to share our brand new EP with the world!” Released on May 24th, I Like It Like That is Lucas’s second EP and it’s an exciting display of how he has enhanced his signature sound since his previous EP, Out of the Ordinary. His vibrant style is ever present in this latest release.
