This week’s Community Corner spotlight features Trevor Silva of My Cluck Hut!

This week, Brother Love talked with long-time friend Trevor Silva, CEO and co-owner of My Cluck Hut. Silva is a drummer-turned-entrepreneur who has built a soap business rooted in sustainability, social impact, and community. My Cluck Hut creates eco-friendly, plastic-free bath products designed for sensitive skin, including their standout bug repellent soap, with everything produced locally in Nashville.

For Silva, his soap is less of a product, but rather a tool for connection and a way to drive positive change. The company operates with a clear mission-over-money mindset. This means they have never accepted venture capital and intentionally steer away from profit-centered practices. Alternatively, Silva fosters what he calls an “orbit of good”. He aims to work with like-minded partners to expand their collective reach and create meaningful impact. In March, My Cluck Hut experienced a wave of growth after using social media to advocate for their beliefs in human rights. This authenticity garnered lots of attention, highlighting the brand’s dedication to activism. Later, their commitment to speaking out against hate was recognized when the company received the Allied Business of the Year Award from the Tennessee Pride Chamber. Therefore, Silva solidified his place as a values-driven leader in the Nashville sustainable goods space.
