This week’s Community Corner spotlight features the MusiCares organization!
This week, Brother Love sits down with Stephanie Curtis & Virginia Faddy of MusiCares to discuss the impact the non-profit has. MusiCares offers preventive, emergency, and recovery programs to working musicians. Founded by the Recording Academy in 1989, MusiCares has been helping musicians get back on their feet through direct financial grants, networks of support, and tailored crisis relief efforts for decades.
MusiCares offers a wide range of services to support all individuals working in the music industry. Whether it’s connecting industry professionals with a mental health professional or helping them find a dietitian for a healthy life on the road, MusiCares is here to help! Always confidential, MusiCares is committed to keeping any work they do private and between them and the individual. MusiCares isn’t only for times of crisis, either. During the conversation, Stephanie & Virginia make it very clear to encourage people reach out even when things haven’t gone completely awry. From connecting with a therapist or contacting the right people to keep your hearing health maintained, MusiCares is here for you.
