“Ribbon” by Bre Kennedy is Casey’s DJ Pick of the Week! Kennedy moved to Nashville in 2015, and has since found her musical identity. The indie/pop artist relies on thematic lyricism to create personal, yet deeply relatable songs.
Before Kennedy found her home in Nashville, she spent some time in LA. This brief stint in the West inspired the writing of “Ribbon.” The track offers an introspective look into the type of artist and person Kennedy has become. In a press release, Kennedy shares, “I wanted my first single back to represent how I’m feeling right now in this new world of opportunity.”
