Casey’s pick of the week is “I’m Lonely” by Dylan Hartigan! This tune dropped late April, and its heartfelt lyrics and catchy beat make it the perfect song for a summer heartbreak.
Jersey born and Nashville based, Hartigan first found his way into the arts through acting. He is known for his appearances in The Stepford Wives, Definitely, Maybe, and The Immigrant, among others. He then began stepping into the world of music, becoming a contestant on The Voice in 2018. His coach on the show, Kelly Clarkson, invited him to perform onstage with her in 2019. It was then he met Maggie Rose, who produced alongside Bobby Holland for his debut album, The Way My Bones Break.
With his new song, “I’m Lonely”, his partnership with Bobby Holland continues. A fresh, indie pop punk tune, Hartigan continues exploration of his artistry and sound. His lyrics paint a picture of the uncertainty of growing up and falling out of love. His storytelling talent is obvious, and with his upcoming album release, we can’t wait to hear what stories he tells.
