Lightning 100 is excited to announce Iguanahead as our Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week with their song “Pressure”!

Nashville’s Iguanahead is composed of guitarist James Moor, bassist Nathan Camp, and drummer Jonah Gillespie-Sickmen. The band combines aspects of alternative rock, psychedelic rock, and doom metal to form their own sound! On Friday, February 28th, Iguanahead will be playing at the Basement in celebration of their EP “Lizardcore” with Wynton Existing, The Red & The Red, and Tennessee Menace Crew.

“Pressure” is Iguanahead’s latest single from their upcoming EP “Lizardcore.” The song features lyrics such as “the dissipation of pressure / is such a refresher / unwinding the pressure / nothing compares” to highlight the importance of taking the time to de-stress when life becomes overwhelming. The track’s instrumentation uses chord progressions that move and create an almost looping effect on listeners. This achieves a feeling of floating away that allows listeners to leave all their stress behind for the four minutes that Iguanahead transports them away.
