The 2016 Road to Roo’ and 2012 Music City Mayhem winners Roots of a Rebellion stopped by the Lightning 100 studio to talk with Lt. Dan about their upcoming album release on ONErpm and supporting tour dates. The rock reggae band played two songs both to be found on the new album; first, their newest single “Shapes of a Soul” followed by an exclusive stripped down performance of the bands unreleased second single “One Thing”. In between tour dates you can catch lead singer Austin Smith DJ-ing at Lightning 100’s Music City Mayhem on April 25th and at Farm In The City’s Sustainable Sunday, April 28th for a volunteer session and acoustic show. Check out the photos from Roots of a Rebellion’s recent show at Marathon Music Works below and be on the lookout for their new album dropping May 31st. You can watch Roots of a Rebellion’s in-studio performance and interview below to hear their new music and find out which band member has the greenest thumb.

Tickets are now available for Roots of a Rebellion at Exit/In on Saturday, July 20th to celebrate their album release!
