Lightning 100 is excited to announce Meadowglade and their song, “Magnolia,” as our Local Artist of the Week! Meadowglade is also our 2026 Music City Mayhem winners!
Meadowglade is an indie rock band consisting of four members: Luke Cooper as the band’s frontman, Owen Keim on guitar, Aidan Spiva on bass, and Justin Nasfell rocking the drums. The group has been rising to the top since they started making music together and are known to play Nashville’s local spots and garner tens of fans at each of their shows. The band has an indie feel, which can be described as garage indie rock music. They put their all into each song, as shown from their Mayhem performance last week at 3rd and Lindsley.
“Magnolia,” released January 9th, is their debut single. The guitar and bass heavy instrumentation take over the song as Luke’s voice echoes through. The lyrics explore themes of loss and remembrance, waving through the changing seasons. The song talks about how grief takes over at random times. The song ends with the repetition of, “Say you want me now,” building up until Luke’s vocals and a guitar are left as the song fades out.
Meadowglade is always on the move and constantly evolving, so keep your eyes open. Their debut single, “Magnolia,” is out now, so listen anywhere you consume music!
