Today’s DJ Pick of the Week goes to Sweettalker for their song, “Born to Lose”. This is a single off of the band’s newest psychedelic pop EP, Paradise. Grammy nominated producer Matt Goldman and Nashville musician/producer Joel Parks helped the band create this EP back in 2019 before its release in early September.
The Nashville-based psychedelic-pop-rock group was formed when members, David Brown and Ryan Pattengale, met through a Facebook group for young aspiring artists. After a few years of being friends online, Ryan convinced David to join him in Nashville to make music. They have since formed an unbreakable friendship through recording songs and playing gigs together.
The single we’re spotlighting, “Born to Lose”, begins with guitar riffs that have an 80’s hard rock sound. As the song progresses to the end, it transitions into more of a soft rock sound. The music video for “Born to Lose” recently premiered on January 29. The video is very electrifying and is full of rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia. Check it out below!
