Cayucas

“Sayulita” by Cayucas is our next ONErpm Hitmaker Alert. Cayucas is an indie-pop band based out of Santa Monica, California. The band—made up of twin brothers, Zach and Ben Yudin— knows how to transport their listeners directly to the seaside. They achieve this with a retro, coastal groove similar to that of the Beach Boys.

The song is a reference to a quaint beach town, Sayulita, on the west coast of Mexico, and features little snippets of Spanish lyrics. Much like the town, the song has an enchanting, dreamy sound.

“Sayulita” is the band’s latest release along with another single, “Topo Ride the Wave.” Both tracks are guaranteed to send you to paradise, sun shining, a “Cerveza” in hand, while watching the waves crash on the shore.

Catch Cayucas live at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Friday, Oct. 28!
