Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Strawberry Ale
On Today’s episode of Brews Summer Style, Matt and Jayson take us to Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. This Kentucky favorite was founded in 1996 and we know them for their bourbon, brews, hard teas. The subject of today’s tasting is their Strawberry Ale.
This strawberry wheat ale has a rich fragrance that remains sweet. At first sip, its taste is reminiscent of caramel and vanilla, then it smooths out for a robust strawberry flavor. Rich in flavor and color, this fruity ale packs bourbon boldness. Not too sweet or fruity, the Strawberry Ale has the right balance for a refreshing and buzz-worthy beverage. This brew is perfect for unwinding at the end of a hot summer day.
This barrel-aged ale has a hefty 8% alcohol content and packs a delicious & crisp punch. Today’s brew is definitely one of our stronger summer picks, so be sure to sip and not chug these bottles.
