Judah & the Lion stop by the studio before their performance at Hangout Music Fest, so they can update Lightning 100 on their tour plans and give Lt. Dan a history refresher on who exactly is a Nashville native (spoiler alert: it’s vocalist and guitarist, Judah Akers). On air they break down their new album Pep Talks, getting real about the emotions that fuel their music, after some talk about music festival hot tubs, port-a-potties, and artists embracing the camping experience.

Pep Talks dropped May 3rd, 2019, boasting seventeen songs on their fourth full release album. Title track “Pep Talk” sees great success but “Don’t Mess With My Mama” was a hit with Mother’s day just last weekend. The band took to Twitter with suggestions on how to involve moms and promote Pep Talks.

You can catch them at a few festivals in the South as they make appearances at Hangout Music Festival on May 17th (Gulf Shores, AL) and Forecastle Festival on July 12th (Louisville, KY). The band is also gearing up for their hometown show at the end of the summer, happening at Ascend Amphitheater on August 24th. Grab your tickets from judahandthelion.com/events.
