Jayson’s DJ Pick this week is the recent single “Love is Free” by Them Vibes! This lively and catchy song is the first single off their newest album Bang in the Black, coming April 2023. With its blues influence and swingin’ vocals, “Love is Free” has the energy of “Stuck In The Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel if it were written by The Rolling Stones.
The East Nashville band Them Vibes includes lead singer Brother Love and guitarist Alex Haddad. Them Vibes describes their music as “Rock n’ Roll for the gypsy soul.” Last year, the band toured the USA with soul artist Maggie Rose. They have also opened for a handful of well-known artists such as Cage The Elephant, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Flaming Lips.
Last month, Them Vibes joined Jayson in the Volume.com Studio for a performance of this week’s pick, “Love is Free.” Check the performance out here! On June 11, the band played with Jive Talk at the Basement East. As of now, there are no upcoming Nashville shows planned for Them Vibes.
