This week’s Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week is Ruby Amanfu, featuring her song “Wait”!

Ruby Amanfu, originally from Ghana, is a Nashville based recording artist, producer, and songwriter. Amanfu is not one to shy away from working with other creators. She has worked with artists like H.E.R, Brandi Carlile, Yola, Alicia Keys, and many more. She was even featured as a primary artist on the “Little Fires Everywhere” soundtrack. Her personal music style varies, but is more pop influenced.

“Wait” is the second track off of “The Collections Volume IV”. “The Collections Volume IV” is one album of a six part album collection. Amanfu released installments IV, V, VI earlier this month, and we cant stop listening! “Wait” is a collection of catchy melodies, pulsing drums, and good vibes. The track’s harmonies paired with the electronic influenced music create a track that makes you want to get up and dance! This is definitely an easy one to learn before you see Ruby take the Main Stage at Live On The Green this weekend! To help you prepare, listen to “Wait” below!

Tune in to 100.1 FM and lightning100.com all week to hear “Wait” by Ruby Amanfu, our Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week. You can also catch Ruby this Saturday on the Main Stage of Live On The Green @ 6:30 PM!
