The Record Company just released their latest single produced by the one and only, Dave Sardy. In a post on Instagram, they describe the single as “brimming with spirit, shining out with hope, and dropping more hooks than a charter fishing vessel.” Sardy has worked with core Lightning 100 artists like Oasis, Band of Horses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, and Modest Mouse. Paired with this hitmaker, The Record Company serves us a track that is hot and ready for your radio.

The Record Company formed in 2011 with Chris Vos, Alex Stiff, and Marc Cazorla. Since their debut, they have opened for B.B. King, John Mayer, Social Distortion, Bob Seger, Grace Potter, and Buddy Guy. Despite their reluctance to identify as a blues, their sound ranges from soulful roots, to garage punk, to classic rock. It’s no wonder that they take inspiration from iconic artists like The Stooges and The Rolling Stones.

In an interview, Stiff opened up about their latest project:

“On the first two albums, people might have thought we were three guys who sit around a campfire, praying to Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, and we’re not. We’re three different guys with different musical tastes. It’s time for all of us to show our individuality, and this record shows us evolving.”

The Record Company can anticipate much deserved attention as we look forward to the release of their third full-length album. Play Loud will be released this October. Check out the first sample below:
