Dan’s DJ Pick this week is Myron Elkins‘ “Hands to Myself.” The 21 year-old Americana singer-songwriter is originally from Otsego, Michigan. Elkins’ cites Tom Petty & The Hearbreakers, Bob Seger, and the Allman Brothers as some of his influences. His distinctive voice and raw songwriting ability shine on his new single “Hands to Myself”.

The track is the first release from his upcoming debut album Factories, Farms & Amphetamines. He worked on the album with producer David Cobb in historic RCA Studio A. “Hands to Myself” is a rock-country song with a lot of soul. Elkins shares, “It’ll probably be the misunderstood song on this album, as the lyrics are a lot darker than the music, I feel, but that’s why I like the way it turned out…it’s probably my favorite song on the album.”

We’ll be spinning this track all throughout the day. You can listen to “Hands to Myself” by Myron Elkins below!
