Lt. Dan’s DJ Pick this week is “High Priestess” by Santigold off her upcoming album “Spirituals.” The song is the perfect retro dance track. It combines Santigold’s iconic lyricism with a beat that’s entirely its own. The song features 70s style synths that make it both classic and current.
She released the song in May and announced “Spirtuals” in June. The full album is set to be released on Sept. 9, 2022. The second track off the LP “Ain’t Ready” was also released in June.
In support of the album, Santigold is hitting the road for The Holified Tour. She’ll kick it off in Atlanta and make her way to California to close out the tour in November. And while she hasn’t added any Nashville dates, there are a handful of stops in the east and midwest to road trip to.
