Jayson’s DJ Pick: “Don’t Stop” by LP
Jayson’s DJ of the week is “Don’t Stop” by LP! Laura Pergolizzi, who’s stage name is LP, is originally from Long Island, New York. She previously fronted the band Lionfish, and has explored genres such as pop, alternative, and folk rock. Throughout her career, she has written or co-written a handful of massive hits, such as “Cheers (Drink to That) by Rihanna and “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera. She continues her vibrant songwriting with the new single, “Don’t Stop,” about a fun night you don’t want to end, and only conversation and music matters. LP sings, “Don’t stop, play another record, don’t stop, hold on to that feeling.”
Dan’s DJ Pick: “Fly On” by Futurebirds
Dan’s Pick of the Week is “Fly On” by Futurebirds! Formed at University of Georgia in 2008, Futurebirds currently consists of Carter King, Daniel Womack, Thomas Johnson, Brannen Miles, and Tom Myers. They attracted an audience due to their energetic, intense shows, and have played with acts like Widespread Panic and Old Crow Medicine. “Fly On” blends country rock, Americana and psychedelic rock, and the breezy sounding says even though we stress, “the sky’s a shade of blue,” you should try and enjoy the world around you, “you can miss the best and grow depressed, and ride out to oblivion.”

Stephanie’s DJ Pick: “Pearls” by Styrofoam Winos
Stephanie’s Pick is “Pearls” by Styrofoam Winos! The trio met at Belmont University in 2011, and consists of Lou Turner, Trevor Nikrant, and Joe Kenkel. The group explores a range of different genres, such as country, alternative rock, and pop, where one member sings, and the other provides harmonies. Their new, upbeat yet soft song “Pearls,” is about finding light and beauty in everyday, ordinary routines, and within another person. With a tuneful melody, they sing, “just as I was thinking that nothing is right, you started bringing and iridescent perspective in light,” and “they pull pearls outta abalones in New Orleans.”

Casey DJ Pick: “IDC (I Don’t Care)” by the Foxies
Casey’s Pick is “IDC (I Don’t Care)” by the Foxies! The group, consisting of Julia Lauren Bullock, Jake Olbaum, and Rob Bodley, formed in Pheonix, Arizona, before relocating to Nashville. They would release their debut single, “Floods,” in 2015, and since then have toured and performed with artists such as Billy Idol and John Oates. The trio haver described their music as “goth disco” and “glitter pop,” an energy present in their new single, “IDC (I Don’t Care).” In the song, they sing “the voices on repeat, who you gonna be?” and “why am I feeling incomplete? Why’s it gotta be so hard?” highlighting mental exhaustion, and the notion only you can change your life.
