Lightning 100 presents “Radio Hell” by Mispo as our latest ONErpm Hitmaker. Mispo is a diverse band that falls within the pop and rock ‘n roll genres. The band formed between four friends in 2012 in North Carolina and released their well acclaimed debut album Dark Pop Roller a year later. Since then, Mispo has multiple #1 songs on the Billboard Charts and played many festivals around the U.S. This year they have released their 6th album featuring the energetic pop track “Radio Hell.”
“Radio Hell” is the focal point of the album and touches on the band’s perspective of what it feels like to work in the entertainment industry. The message they then expand on is how parts of the industry can exploit artists. The song kicks off with lively production elements and a steady tempo that hooks the listener in. As the song progresses, you can hear the lighthearted melodic tone that blends perfectly with the band’s harmonies throughout. Frontman Joseph Terrell says this song makes, “the world feel not just bearable, but beautiful.” Despite this track giving off angsty energy, it still makes it the perfect song to sing along in the car to.
