This week’s Community Corner spotlight shines on American Heart Association’s Women of Impact!
Brother Love sat down with Kirbee Miller and Valery Parham to discuss Go Red for Women Campaign that focuses on educating, empowering, and raising funds for research and prevention surrounding heart health. Women’s heart health is a serious issue that can go unnoticed and unrecognized. The campaign is focused around women’s cardiovascular health in order to educate and spread awareness within communities around the United States.
Education around heart health can change and save lives on a personal level. The education through the campaign seeks to empower others to know about essential aid, health rituals, and daily habits to improve heart health. 80% of cardiac events are preventable with education and lifestyle changes. Donations are essential to the campaign in order to continue the campaign’s goals and ability to educate communities nationwide. Donate to their campaigns for Valery Parham here and Kirbee Miller here!
