By providing these essentials with dignity and creating an inclusive space, East Nashville supports each other’s well-being – body, mind, and spirit. Founded over 4 decades ago in 1978, ENCM started as a small interfaith initiative has grown into a vital community resource, serving over 500 families each month. Located in East Nashville on Gallatin.
They discuss what goes into making their services feel less like a charity and more like a community where resources are shared freely. Services include groceries, hygiene, toys, books, and clothes. With the amount of American’s living paycheck to paycheck, it is essential to have empathy for your neighbors and support organizations like ENCM who will in turn, support you.

You can visit ENCM from 9:00am-2:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday or 9:00am-12:45pm on Saturdays. All you need is any form of ID and something that proves you live in Davidson Co. Major needs right now include sponsoring a neighbor – $25 a month, which allows the organization to go the extra mile in supporting someone, and computer literate volunteers willing to come in once or twice a week.
