Our Community Corner spotlight of the week is H.O.M.E.- which stands for Helping Our Music Evolve. Brother Love sat down with Logan Crowell, the founder of H.O.M.E. He starts out by explaining H.O.M.E.’s mission statement of supporting community for artist’s development and music production. Crowell envisioned an organization which gave artists a community hub to work together. He first came to Nashville to attend Belmont University where he wished to break into the music industry. He saw a need for artist development in the community in a holistic, supportive way. From there, he set off to design a space where people can collaborate on their artwork and careers together.
The H.O.M.E. warehouse contains rehearsal spaces, recording studios, performance spaces, and more. To engage with the community, they have three public networking events each month: the Nashville Music Producers meet up, Music City Networking, and the Nashville Sync Meet Up. H.O.M.E. also encourages people to reach out, engage, and book tours to view their spaces if they’re thinking about working with them. This can help make the points of entry feel more less daunting and more like a personalized experience. In addition to music spaces, there are hang out spaces both inside and outside for members to connect and form relationships.
H.O.M.E. wants people to constantly be creating organic connections with one another. Whether it be artist to artist, business to business, artist to business, or just a pure friendship. H.O.M.E. wants their members to feel comfortable, like the space is their home. Listen to the full conversation below! Or to learn more, visit H.O.M.E.’s website here.
