Her choice of instrumentation is largely derived from pop music, featuring bright, simplistic percussion and catchy synthesizers. In addition, Oladokun utilizes both electric and acoustic guitars to help vary the texture throughout the song. While Oladokun’s vocal delivery draws influence from pop music, the lyrical content is more reminiscent of the folk genre. This duality is just part of what makes “Keeping the Light On” an amazing tune to listen to.
“Keeping the Light On” is Oladokun’s most recent musical release, as well as her first of 2022. While she hasn’t announced any new music, Oladokun will embark on her first headliner tour this spring, which includes two performances in Nashville.
