Mel’s DJ Pick of the Week is “Downtown Baby” by Vlad Holiday! This brand new track is the lead single from his debut full-length album which will be released later this year. Holiday was born in Bucharest, Romania, but spent most of his childhood in New Jersey and eventually moved to New York City. Earlier this year, Holiday relocated again to call Nashville home. He launched his solo project in the summer of 2017.
Though Holiday recently relocated right here to Music City, “Downtown Baby” takes you along on a journey around his former home-base, New York City. As you travel through the Lower East Side of Manhattan you’ll recognize a blend of instrumentals which, when brought together with his crooning vocals, capture you with the aura of another era.
