Saint Nomad is a Nashville-based sibling trio. They moved to the United States as children and came across a Radiohead VHS, which ended up lighting the flame of their passion for music. Their latest release, “Nothing to Lose” is Rev. Keith’s pick this week!
“Nothing to Lose” has an infectious beat and smooth vocals and guitars. It builds into something upbeat and impossible to not bop your head to. Lyrically and musically, the song is uplifting. Vocalist and keyboardist, Nikita Odnoralov, reflects on the band’s past tours and speaks on the origin of the song, “I didn’t think I would get a chance to do it again like this. In that moment, I just felt a lot of freedom. I felt like I had nothing to lose. I just wanted to make it count,” and with that, the band released the alt-pop banger that is “Nothing to Lose”.
In an Instagram post, Saint Nomad explained what the song means to them, “‘Nothing to Lose’ means living out of love not fear. Don’t take yourself too seriously at the same time have hope and believe in yourself and others. It’s our way of saying we wanna live with hands open and eyes wide embracing life with the ups and downs and still choosing to persevere.”
Since originally releasing the song as a single in May, Saint Nomad has released an EP of remixes of “Nothing to Lose”.
