With two new singles and two upcoming shows at Exit/In, The Criticals have been busy giving their fans exactly what they want— more music and bigger shows. The Criticals also released their latest single “Absinthe” on September 17th, which was accompanied by a killer music video to match this killer song’s vibe. The Criticals are currently gearing up for their highly anticipated back-to-back performances at Exit/In this weekend. If you’re in Nashville October 1st or 2nd, these are shows you don’t want to miss!

Parker Forbes and Cole Shugart formed The Criticals in 2018. Over the past few years, the band has continued to gain momentum in the Nashville music scene and beyond. The band released their EP Mimosa Hygiene in 2019 and followed up with their album Sour Grapes in 2020. Their latest singles “Izzy” and “Absinthe” stay true to the band’s rock roots while still expanding on the band’s signature sound.

Back in June 2021, The Criticals played an unforgettable sold-out show to a fervent crowd at The Basement East. The show was a testament to their dynamic stage presence and their loyal, energetic fanbase. It’s safe to say that The Criticals plan to bring the same excitement to their shows at Exit/In. Snag some tickets here before they’re gone and check out “Izzy” and “Absinthe” on YouTube below. If you like what you hear, tune in to catch their in-studio performance this September 29th at 9am CT on Volume.com/Lightning100!
