Alanna Royale puts love on a pedestal in the new single “Fall In Love Again.” Intimate, soothing, and captivating, “Fall In Love Again” brings up the question of is it worth it to try and love again. Alanna Royale perfectly captures this inner debate through the classic R&B tone, mixed with soulful lyrics. Lightning 100 is happy to have Alanna Royale as our Local Artist of the Week!
Headed up by Alanna Quinn-Broadus, the Nashville music group is chock-full of talent. Guitarist Jared Colby and bassist Gabriel Golden help bring together the group’s unique Americana soul sound. The group has opened for Lee Fields and St. Paul & the Broken Bones, as well as an appearance at Bonnaroo in 2014. Live on the Green was lucky enough to feature Alanna Royale back in 2018! The group never fails to get an audience on their feet with their energetic musical arrangements.
However, “Fall in Love Again” takes a different, calmer approach. Still pulsing with energy, there is a stronger element of rhythmic jazz, allowing listeners to sway back and forth. With lyrics like, “Let’s just call this what it is, a losing game,” the track acknowledges the pain that comes with love. It is a raw representation of the yearn to love someone while knowing it may not be reciprocated.
“I pushed myself in all directions and leveled up the writing, arranging, and vocal performance — marrying my longtime love for classic soul and the undeniable influence of ’90s R&B. I am extremely grateful to my entire crew for coming together to make this beautiful musical moment,” said Alanna. Proud of her new single, we look forward to many more soulful releases!
