Jayson’s DJ Pick of the Week
Margo Price is one of many local artists Nashville has proudly claimed. Often referred to as a “throwback” or “nostalgic,” Price continues to mesmerize her fans with country classic ‘70s singer/songwriter vibes (insert Loretta Lynn here). Price made her way to Nashville in 2003, but officially became a soloist in 2016 with the release of her album Midwest Farmer’s Daughter. Now, four years later, she’s on the verge of debuting her third full-length album: That’s How Rumors Get Started.
“Letting Me Down” is the third single released from her new album that is scheduled to hit the airwaves in July. Country music singer Stirgull Simpson is producing Price’s album, and also sang on her latest track “Letting Me Down.” Aside from the single just making you want to get up and dance––the music video also does the same––but it’s even more dance worthy once you hear the story behind the entire album. From having a baby, to being affected by both the Nashville tornados and COVID-19, Margo Price became even more of an inspiration to the Music City scene.
Margo Price’s full album That’s How Rumors Get Started will be out on July 10. Don’t worry! You can stream “Letting Me Down” on Lightning 100 until then.
