For this episode of Community Corner, we sat down with Robin Nibbling, Executive Director of NAMI Davidson County. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is an outreach organization focused on “building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.” NAMI Davidson is a local branch of the organization, available to residents all over Nashville.

With the holidays right around the corner, this time of year tends to be heavy, especially for those with mental illness. To help, NAMI Davidson focuses on improving and achieving mental wellness. In this episode, Robin shares helpful tips for catching moments of holiday happiness. She reminds listeners that it’s important to acknowledge the past in order to move forward. She also reminds us to recognize the present and practice daily mindfulness. Additionally, a handful of resources are available:
