Lightning 100 is excited to announce Teddy and the Rough Riders as our Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week with their song “Catfish Summer”!

Teddy and the Rough Riders, made up of the born and raised Nashville duo, Ryan Jennings and Jack Quiggins. The duo creates a unique and authentic sound by mixing country bluegrass with rock. Their music feels deeply connected to the local Nashville scene, while also being authentically their own. The band released their most recent album Down Home this past year. Each song on the album brings a different experience to the overall album including “Catfish Summer”!

“Catfish Summer” is the perfect track to melt away the winter blues. The song features bright and bubbly instrumentation combined with lyrics describing tales of southern summer living. With lyrics like “Make some time to see your loving family/ Buckle up and eat a Georgia peach/ Write a song and sing a little ditty /Spending all summer at the beach” the band creates a fun-loving and toe-tapping ode to summer. Even though summer is a few months away, you can still experience some jiving and dancing with Teddy and the Rough Riders this Thursday at the Blue Room!

Tune in to 100.1 FM and lightning100.com all week to hear “Catfish Summer” by Teddy and the Rough Riders, our Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week!
