The Amanda Broadway Band is Lightning 100’s local artist of the week! The group is back with a brand new single, “The Slow Down.” The Amanda Broadway Band is fronted by lead singer Amanda Broadway. The band’s additional members include vocalists Amber Woodhouse and Maureen Murphy, keyboardist Kent Toalson, bassist Max McKee, drummer Nate Felty, trumpet player Mikie Martel, tenor sax player Ryan Latham, and guitarist Shane Lamb.

The Amanda Broadway Band signed to Electric 3 Records after the release of their debut LP, The Ache. The group describes their sound as a blend of “rock n roll and message-driven soul” that features “funky backbeats with bluesy guitar riffs and powerful songwriting.” Their latest single “The Slow Down” features a sultry, slow groove that’s paired with luscious vocals, horns, and organ.

So far, the Amanda Broadway Band has released two brand new singles in 2021. The first was “What the World Needs Now is Love,” and the second is the band’s latest, “The Slow Down.” You can keep up with the Amanda Broadway Band on Facebook, Instagram, and through the band’s website.
